The first year of iTech went okay. My 7th grade year and it was off to a good start, for it being a completely new school. Even though the teachers seemed to pick favorites most of the time and it moving from campus to campus was difficult, but overall it was a fun experience. Aside from the 80 minute classes where teachers would run out of things to say and end up rambling or just giving you free time, and constant problems with every computer, the school was good for the first year. Then 8th grade rolled around, and it all changed when the fire nation attacked. Jk but seriously it went downhill fast. Cohorts were gone which lead to confusion, most of the teachers were biased and picked favorites still, cept for Wohl <3. Classes still were going day to day just waiting for it to be over. And everything just didn't go well. Slow clap for trying but not everything is meant for success. Not to mention the mix of social class. Being that kids came from all over the district, differing views were way too common. Yes they can be a good thing, but not when it leads to bullying, flat our arguments, and bigotry that still happens in the school right now. And idea of a magnet school based around STEM, is a great thought, but honestly it should have stayed as a thought. Not only do I feel strongly against the school, but honestly I regret those 2 years. Not some of the people. Some of the people are still my closest friends today, but that school also caused some deep rooted insecurities, and made me honestly feel as though I missed out on a proper middle school experience, having to catch up, socially, academically, and switching to fort was probably the best decision I could have made. I have not experienced the high school, but it doesn't sound all too great. If you like iTech, have fun, but it's not for everyone, and not for most people to be honest. And their mascot is pretty sucky. Ravens? Ok..
Great school with great teachers and staff members. The grading system is kind of bogus though, other than that and the fact that there is no sports, it’s a pretty decent school.
