I’m going to discuss the way they handled bullying at this school. My two brothers and I have had similar experiences with getting bullied at this high school, but to make it short and sweet, all three of us have been bullied badly and the school brushed it off and forgot about the situation or did not give a care about the situations. Several students had serious behavioral problems and had horrible attitudes and some of the staff either didn’t notice or did not care.
Second of all is the food they serve. Don’t even get me started on the school lunches there! Most of it looked inedible, therefore I brought my lunch.
I also want to talk about the drainage issues. When it rains or storms in California, it pours, and being in a school that has lunch breaks and passing periods outside can make things extremely difficult when the sky is pouring. The drainage system there is terrible and had caused several giant puddles, and it’s really frustrating when students have to walk in that! I did an article in the Valhalla (the school newspaper) about this issue discussing this problem and offering solutions, but as far as I know they have yet to fix it, unless they did after I graduated and I never knew it.
I agree with Amara Black’s review that they spend more money on useless junk than using that money for better causes, like the drainage problems I mentioned earlier.
I will mention the good parts about the experience though. I received a fair education and made many friends that I am still associating with today in some shape or form. I did have a few teachers, not giving the names for the sake of their privacy, that did listen when I had an issue and I learned a lot from. I made many memories there that I have not forgotten.
If things have changed since I graduated, I will be surprised, but I do not know. Overall, my experience was not terrible, but it wasn’t the best.
