Been to this school since prep.. And now I’m at the high school! First off we will stay with the good things. I absolutely loved the oval, it’s huge and there are different sections for different grades. I loved Minecraft club, once I got to year five I was waiting every lunch time on Thursday to run and go to the amazing club. I loved most of my classes, Mrs Allgood, Mrs Bevan, Mrs Boyle, Mrs Alexander and Mrs Faust were my favorites! However…. Once I got to first grade it was horrible… My teacher was very rude and he got everyone in trouble for no reason, he yelled at everyone and this made me move classes… The bullying got horrible in year five and six, when I cut my hair to a pixie cut in year five it was so called a “girl mullet”.Year six I got insecure and body shamed, I couldn’t deal with it anymore, I had to see the amazing Miss Beth though she’s amazing. When the playground changed, not many year fives and sixes were happy with it. It was a running track and you had to line up to go do it… It was infuriating… So I was stuck playing on the oval or at the handball courts. The ” no hat no play” was kind of annoying.. I get it! Sun safety! But we don’t need to wear it when we are walking undercover! I was playing handball and one boy wasn’t wearing a hat. We were undercover and a teacher told him that he needed to wear a hat. The library teachers were rude. Some teachers were too strict and some were too fair. I only had about three strict but fair teachers. I was made fun of on book character day… like, can I not like anime??? Overall, this school is great just needs a few improvements.. Plus the high schoolers were rude on the bus to the primary school students, they yelled and they kept barking at me.. But I love this school and I hope people get less bullied in the future.
Yours sincerely,
Skye Cassidy
We pulled our kids out of Marymount Primary due to the horrible classroom environments they faced year after year. They were all struggling academically and socially due to bullying and awful treatment by teachers. Since moving them to Varsity they have completely thrived. They are different kids. I wish we didn’t waste money on Marymount and sent them to Varsity from the beginning. Our kids love the lunchtime clubs and activities. The teachers are nurturing. Its fantastic! Thank you so much for taking such good care of the kids both academically and emotionally.
An excellent school that values each child and their individual experiences, strengths and needs. They are willing to go above and beyond to communicate and work with parents to provide the best education for each child. I have found the teachers to be exceptional educators that build relationships with students and parents, resulting in great outcomes.
Decent school overall, playgrounds are okay, some of them are terrible, some of the teachers here are very strict and elucidate based off of their personalised way of learning. Some of the teachers are great teachers with use of discipline and joy. Alot here are unprofessional with terrible ways of teaching. The oval is nice and big and the running club is a good way to get kids fit and have fun, but yet also a competition.
An excellent school, especially THANK YOU to Miss CRANE and Miss TOMASSEN. Your excellence is highly respected by Liam’s family. How lucky Liam was to have you two as his teachers and how sad he has to say bye now.
