i used to be a student at this school. Its terrible, please dont send your child here. the animations teacher yelled at me for not knowing where something is on Word app, he even made me go to the principal office cause i was 2 SECONDS late. the lang arts teacher was really rude, and the math teacher got mad at me for not knowing someones name. the kids there are so mean aswell, within my few weeks there i heard “you wanna fight?” at least 10 times in one week..the kids there threw the lunch food in my hoodie and laughed about it. someone else chewed on a paper ball and threw it at me. nobody wanted to be friends with me either so i just stayed quiet the entire time i was in school. one of the lunch patrollers literally turn red when she screams?? she screamed at kids everyday, u could hear it from another classroom. the only nice thing about this school was the adv science teacher. he was nice, one time he let us pull our phones out in class so we could use kahoot cause we already put our chromebooks away. he let me sleep in class for a few minutes (at the time as soon as i got home i went to sleep, woke up at 8pm, stayed up till 7am to go to school, repeat). anyways please dont send your child to this school.
They sent my daughter home nearly weekly to the point that they want to do an IEP because of her failing. How is a kid supposed to pass school when they’re sent home every other day over belly aches and a fake cough? Most of the homework was never checked. They won’t hold her back even though they should have because they curve the grades to make their school look better. Now they’re evaluating her because she needed help finding her bus the first few weeks of school, she had the bus number memorized and they told us in order to have someone walk with her we have to sign a form which once the form was signed they switched her to the short bus. They left an 8 yo in charge of her. She would come home with marks on her face from being pushed down yet no incident reports were filed for her. Communication with staff is awful. The only decent person there is the social worker. We’ve been trying to get her into speech all year but she won’t be able to begin until next year in the middle of the year. If it were up to me I’d switch her schools but they’re saying it’ll mess up her evaluation if I do now.
To begin this school is a great school when it comes to an education point point of view and their programs. My son started at this school 4-5 months ago. At first he was loving it, the teachers seem to care and be involved with their students, he said the kids were nice. Recently he’s started to get bullied so I immediately called to let them know what was happening and other details. There are cameras and after I called and an incident happened there was proof and the kids who were doing the bullying got moved classes to where they wouldn’t even run into my child. That lasted about two weeks and other kids started picking on him in class. Apparently my son isn’t the only victim and other kids are getting it even worse. Scratches and marks on their body, kids getting punched. How far is this going to go? How long are parents not going to care what their child is doing in school to other kids? What’s it going to take for the school to do something and put a stop to it? My son is a smart child with a bright future and super empathetic he and other kids don’t deserve this.
