My son has attended the school for 3 years and my daughter started two years ago. My kids sincerely enjoy going to school each day. They are meeting all their learning and development milestones and I get updates regularly on how I can support their growth. The staff are caring compassionate and responsive, which informs a culture and community of kindness and consideration amongst the students in my children’s peer groups. My kids get lots of time outside and time for recreation, without compromising academic achievement. I am so grateful we found this school. It fits our values, our lifestyle, and my hopes for my children’s future.
VSL is hands down the best private school in Jefferson County. Being one of a few American schools inspired by the Finnish Model of education, it truly shows in the small class sizes and interactions among even the youngest students. Staff is highly qualified and regularly learning how to adequately implement the Finnish model in their classrooms.
Such an amazing school that not only makes learning fun but they also care for every childs well being and needs to be able to thrive.
