We tried Wakefield independent school,
sadly our daughter diddnt enjoy it.
We liked the fact the children get a one to one reading session everyday.
The small classes were also an advantage.
The teachers also were very friendly.
However our daughter felt like she had no friends and although the school kept saying she had friends it was clear she felt loanly.
That was the reason we left she wasn’t happy.
One thing that did annoy us and other parents too, the headmistress does take advantage of her position, her grandson attends the school and gets special treatment.
For example if there’s a school play, all the parents turn up an hour early to get a seat but the headmistress reserves seating for her grandsons parents/family, so they can turn up at the last minute and just walk to the front.
This happens on all events.
It’s not very professional in my opinion.
The school has good points as I’ve mentioned above.
But in my honest opinion it is not worth the money.
Our child is far happier in her new school.

Fantastic school, family friendly, kind and caring. My kids had a great time there, wish there were more schools like this – not expensive for the quality of education and worth every penny as far as I’m concerned
