I’ve had kids in this district for a loong time. While i agree the food is expensive..heck, to do anything in this school is expensive…It’s like anything else..you get out what you put in. I’ve had a few teachers I had to check and I also had teachers/staff i absolutely loved for going out of their way. I’ve never had a problem with punishments because I teach my kids how to act at home. Any concerns I ever had at Warren was always addressed and settled in a timely and respectful fashion and guess what?? I’m BLACK. I have never been treated wrong because of my race. You get treated based on your ACTIONS, not your color. Sure, there will always be prejudices among students and staff alike but it no reason to trash the whole school. I don’t blame Warren for punishments or no second chances…not all, but “some” of our students are terrible with such a lack of respect, drug use, early pregnancies, fighting, gossip, sexting and so on, its no wonder they had to up their game on consequences. Warren is a decent school, good curriculum and expensive…if you don’t like it ..go to another school. freedom of choice.
Thank you I have seven wonderful teachers to learn from them special ly my music teacher who should know I still sing even now to listen to B J Thomas .country music and thank you for going to the museum of science and industry in Chicago long time ago plus making this wonderful Christmas album at this wonderful church back in the 70 but now I was married and lost my husband in a fire but I am ok and the boss of a large food bank giving out only good food also when I was at warren township high school I was Denise Driscoll now it’s Denise Mason and always will be from now on I also have two collage degrees in Business association and a bachelor in the same field and happy also I was in Mrs gorsky classroom at the time now be happy and good luck to all
I don’t recommend this school for black persons. There has been a lot of discrimination issues this year, staff is very judgmental and could be A LOT better. Food is OVER PRICED. Punishments are wayyyy over due and they don’t give people second chances. If the people there don’t like you they will treat you different. Very favortistic. Start way too early. Don’t come here.
