I attended Wauwatosa Catholic since 2011 when it began and had previously attended St.Bernard before it switched! I graduated from 8th grade here in 2020 and think about the 11 years I spent here every day! I made some of the best friends I could have ever asked for and am happy to be a part of the Wauwatosa Catholic Family! This school has so much to offer including the IB program which has truly prepared me for high school. They academically challenged me and taught me more than just reading and taking notes from a text book. I am now doing great in high school taking many advanced classes and starting in Spanish 3 as a freshman! Wauwatosa Catholic has prepared me for this and I will be thankful for this school forever as they gave me a start in the world and taught me valuable lessons. My classes 8th grade year may have been cut short but we did not let that effect us, we kept going and although experiences we were looking forward to having did not occur such as our Washington, DC trip we found other ways to have fun. I remember the day we found out schools were going to be closing due to Covid-19 we said “everyday at 2:30 we are going to have a video call on google hangouts with the whole class so we can see each other over these 2 weeks”. I look back on that and am glad that is something we did but little did we know it would be a lot longer and affect so much! I still keep in contact with my class because we were just such a tight knit group of 16 kids. If you are looking for a place to send you child to school and are looking for a place that you will never forget and that will have such a positive impact on your life please check out Wauwatosa Catholic!
Three kids have (& will have this June 2022) graduated from Wauwatosa Catholic School. This was the best decision our family ever made. All three enroll in high school ADVANCED foreign language because of their Spanish foundational work here. Additionally, Advanced English and science are also no problem in high school.

Large projects are no big deal for my kids because the teachers are amazing at WCS and students learn time management & critical thinking. There is a clear commitment to service to others who are in need.

If you simply want to drop your child off and then pick them up at the end of the day without getting to know anyone, WCS is not the place for you.

You will make lifelong friendships, and you will become involved in your child’s education. Athletics, skate night, awesome camaraderie-building fundraisers, and other volunteer opportunities will present themselves & you’ll find your life filled with awesome people.

I appreciate the foundational religious education and HISTORY that kids are taught. The other day my husband took our youngest to The Basilica for Mass because the time worked out better for our family. Apparently at the Basilica at the end of Mass the congregation says the Saint Michael the Archangel prayer. Our 8th grade son rocked it while my husband was left searching for the text. This made me crack up laughing visualizing it.

Thank you St. Pius X & St. Bernard Parishes for Wauwatosa Catholic School!

WCS is a fabulous school. It is “small” in size so students get lots of personal attention and make strong connections with other students, faculty and staff. It is “big” in its ability produce extremely well educated students with a strong understanding of Catholic values. The IB program adds additional depth and connections to the curriculum and the student learning. We think it is a great place and are happy to have our child educated at WCS!
