The staff were extremely kind, caring and supportive. I personally dropped out of high school because of my family’s moving situation, and discrimination I faced being Queer and Neurodivergent. I refused to face school in Texas, because of what I faced in NY. If NY was bad, Texas wouldn’t be better, I’ve been in both environments. They were very welcoming and respectful, which is how it should be. Regardless of identity or background, everyone should have access to education and expanding their opportunities. Im glad that school was committed to that. I also like the school’s appearance from the inside, it was a very old building but it had charm. They also had an affordable marketplace which was pretty neat too. Thank you for the help with getting my GED. Also the history teacher was my favorite, she was active in the lesson and didn’t sugarcoat things, very nice change of pace compared to other history teachers.
