I am truly sorry that people had bad experiences here in the 70s and 80s, but that was 40 years ago. Not fair to the school’s reputation to claim that CURRENT teachers or administrators may be abusive! That’s a terrible accusation, and absolutely not true. Our children have had an extremely positive elementary experience. The teachers and staff have been nothing but supportive, nurturing, and kind to them, and they are very happy here. We are thankful for the values they are being taught along with academics. Any disciplinary action is handled with a respectful, “coming alongside parents” kind of approach. We love the small, family-like community and wish more people knew this gem existed. Every school is going to have pros and cons, but I can honestly say, if you’re looking for an affordable alternative to public school, this is a great one.
Two of our three children have graduated from WCCS and have moved on easily to higher education, including masters work. Our third child is currently in 9th grade. We appreciate the academics but more importantly the Christ focused discipleship.
