If I could give a zero I would do so!
My son has went here since kindergarten and I have had nothing but issues! I was told by the school that my son had something mentally wrong with him and insisted I take him to Kitsap mental health for an evaluation after months of problems and trying to work with the school I did so and was told there was nothing wrong with my son, he is a completely normal 6 year old boy! I took the paper to the school and they where in shock so much that one of the school counselors actually made me upset with her reaction I had to ask to speak with the principal with out her in the room. All in all they insist my son is the issue when it is so clear that they don’t want to deal with anything that is more work for them. I email and get ignored until I threaten to go to the school board, my son came home once and told me teachers at his school call black kids bad names, last year my son was in trouble for using the restroom to long and I went to the school board about it and they turned it all around and ignored what had actually happened and tried to say they think my son may have health problems because he poops to long.
His teacher this year calls my son “rude” because a group of friends and he where playing and saying yo mamma jokes, she then lies and says he was written up when he in fact was never even told that he was in trouble for anything! How can I punish my child at home if he thinks he had a good at at school? If you never corrected his behavior? She is obviously to sensitive to be teaching kids this young because children say things without thinking, some would call it rude others would call it being children.
There is so much more I could speak on here but I will leave it at that.
This school is full of lazy adults who just want to blame children when they are the adults they are in charge of what happens.
Or they insist your child is mental and needs help.
Do not make the mistake to send your child here just because it is a Stem or because there is uniforms. Which is actually just a dress code that they contradict all the time by seahawk day or super hero day or when some can’t afford those name brands and that’s the hole point of the uniforms!!!
These people, the entire facility, is absolutely amazing! Kind, considerate, taking any concerns I have seriously. Everything! They let me know if my son trips and falls, if he is having trouble focusing, anything at all. They have monitors around the school in the mornings and at release, and cameras everywhere so they make sure the property is safe and secure. If your children are in the school district (K-8), send your children here!!
I was forced to go here for spanish and thats it if my parent did not care about spanish i would have not went there dont send your children there.

When i went there they kept kindergarteners elias payton and preston were kept in lor (loss of recess)
I mean learning opertunity room, for the whole year. If i could speak up and people would listen i would be those kids hero.
