This is a good public school that has excellent facilities and is financed well. The student body is majority minority, so while overall test scores won’t be as high as places like Scarsdale or Rye, smart kids of any income group can shine. Every year they send a handful of grads to the very top universities in the US. (27 year resident of White Plains)
Graduate class 1979, Wayne A. Morse of Philadelphia Pa. Those days at White Plain High was the best of my teen years. Playing Mayor Cargan in Seven keys to Baldpate, was the highlight of my senior year. GO TIGERS!!
This school is an awesome. I had the time of my life here. My guidance counselor Ms. Martas was the best, she was so caring and real with all her students. I thank her for who I am today. Class of 2004!
