This school district is horrible! I brought a concern to their attention and never got a call back until the day I spoke up at the school board meeting. Dr. Hawn is a joke! She literally laughed at my concern and made me feel like a horrible parent because I miss placed a certificate. She does not reflect the community she serves. Their record keeping is a joke! I’ve gotten report cards with post its and scribble grades on it.
My son has 5 years perfect attendance and certificates to show i . Only to learn that he has one absence in 1st grade. When I attempted to challenge it they literally ask me why should I care about my son having one absence?

Do not go to West Whittier elementary and stay away from this school district!

This district is the best. The staff help me with my problem that i need help with it. I give a big thanks to the office reception from jackson elementary school. She is the best from the school.
