We are ecstatic to have found Wildflower: An Acton Academy! I wish I could leave a 10-star review! The skills and independence that our child has started to develop are incredible. I have seen him begin to have a fundamental love of learning, and his independence is sky-rocketing beyond what we thought was possible for his age. He is really developing a curiosity about all of life. The one-room schoolhouse concept that they use has helped him become very comfortable working and collaborating with kids of all ages. The environment is so much more relevant and applicable to real-life than huge institutional learning (or even other small private or Montessori schools for that matter)!

While the core-skills of education are covered exceptionally well, Wildflower is much much more than that! Our child is learning invaluable life-skills that are often overlooked in a “traditional” (failing) education system. He is learning skills that will benefit him for the rest of his life; such as learning through failure and the ability to bounce back and grow from it, interpersonal communication and collaboration skills, conflict resolution skills between he and his peers without the overinvolvement of adults, the ability to find answers to his questions and solutions to his problems, dealing with frustration and disappointment in a constructive way. The list really does go on and on. Wildflower: An Acton Academy is very different compared to the educational system that almost everyone is familiar with, and I’m so grateful for that!

I thought I was alone with no options when it came to educating my children. Wildflower has been a breath of fresh air when it comes to education. This school allows children to be themselves. The curriculum is based in this current century and equips heroes with the tools and knowledge that the REAL WORLD requires. My 6 year old has put together a budget for a camping trip based off of the material this school offers… MY 6 YEAR OLD!
Wildflower has been a breath of fresh air. Our child has only been there for about 3 month and has grown tremendously. The most impressive part of her growth has not been with curriculum, it has been her growth as a leader/being kind to others. Wildflower allows the children to explore through mistakes and in turn they thrive when they learn how to redirect from experiences.
