This school is awesome. At least during two last years under the Mr Foucart’s leadership. He is easily approachable, open and helpful. He really cares about the school and kids. Mr Foucart seems to be very happy greeting kids morning and solving their problem. We had a few requests which were solved with no problem. He has a great team. Ms. Kenney knows every kid greeting them morning and helping them out after school. She is very experienced and caring professional. She guided our decisions a lot, showing us new opportunities. Ms. Kristie gives a lot of personal attention to students, helping them out. This school has unique classes for special needs kids. Mr Walders does an amazing job helping kids in teamwork, and to understand and follow rules. Ms. Dever does a great job making our kid love learning. Only one downside of being an amazing school – the attendance went up from around 400 to 500 just during one year under new leadership, so a little bit longer car line for drop off and pick up, but it worth it.
Wood Canyon is a great school and I am very happy with my child’s education. Ultimately, the education of a child is the product of the “symbiotic” relationship between the child’s parents and teachers. I feel that I can easily communicate my concerns with my child’s teacher and get almost immediate feedback on the issues that are of concern. I am a very proud parent of a Wood Canyon Comet First Grader. Keep up the good work Wood Canyon!
