I honestly just cannot recommend this school to people with decency. Don’t send a good review saying my kid has said this or my child says that because we all know that children only tell you what you want to hear.
I cannot stress enough how much you just need to experience the school for yourself. It’s filled with teachers who are tired of bad kids and bad kids who are tired of uncaring teachers. You can’t tell whose the problem in this endless cycle of negative emotions.
Last year was better but the tensions are always high at the end of the year and students take that tension out on each other. Racial slurs are common and so is bad language. The food is like most schools terrible but I’ve literally went home sick from eating this stuff.

I recommend avoiding certain teachers and to stick with ones like the ap Social studies teacher, AP english, general math, and the yearbook teacher and Ms. Ojeda. They are the most mature out of all the teacher I’ve met there as well as the most understanding.
Thus doesn’t mean they are nice however they give you lot’s of respect when you prove your work ethic.

I suggest if you given your child a phone to check their apps and such because it is very common to have in school relationships as well as dirt talk. Let your child be open as in implore them to be more descriptive about their day. This can give you clues as to how this school runs.

OF course if you feel something is up I suggest you walk in there yourself and check out the school while it’s running.

this school is very bad, very.

the teachers: a lot of the teachers are really bad, but a few are not.

the students: oh my, the students are VERY BAD, but a few are not. majority of the students here (mainly the 7th graders and one 8th grade group) always cause drama, and i can not remember one day at woodland where there was no drama. the students are just very mean and not good.

the staff: only a few of the staff are good, but i have a strong hatred for some. some of the staff members were very racist to me, and the dean also once told me to “remove my hoodie” when it was my hijab i was wearing.

i despite woodland hills academy with all of its entity. i really don’t like this school and i felt very unsafe at woodland. i do not recommend bringing your child/children to woodland, it’s not a good school. dirty environment, mean people, and non-stop drama.

To all those who said this school is bad, that was the past. Many things have changed and there are many new caring, loving, and understanding teachers. The population here is also the right size to where everyone in your grade is like family. I’m currently in the eight grade here and the past three years of my life have been incredible. Don’t look at the past and judge about its future. but look at the present and then judge about its future. This school is has great electives and honor program. There is a lot of spirit at the school and the teachers and leadership team try to make it fun as well as educational for ever student that goes there. So as a current student here, I really recommend incoming 6th grade parents to sent their kid to Woodland Hills Academy.
