Is it possible to give this a .25 star rating? I used to go here AND IT SUCKED! The secretaries were unnecessarily rude, in fact they didn’t care about the kids at all sometimes. My mom told me that a little boy hit his head on the curb, and she walked him in to go to the nurse, and the secretary said to just have him sit down and wait for the nurse to come in. Needless to say, my mom wasn’t happy. In third grade, I had to change classes. I forgot which grade this incident was in, but one of the recess aides segregated boys and girls. She sent girls to the basketball court, and boys to the playground. Anyone caught switching areas would be yelled at for no reason. I thought and still think that this aide favors when her relatives were involved. Her nephew or grandson would get free snacks at lunch and never got yelled at when he did something wrong or bad. The same aide would force us to go back inside if the clouds just turned grey. Also, if one kid screwed up, everyone would have to pay the price by losing recess, the only time they could go outside within the span of 7 hours. The teachers were great, some of them were surprisingly really nice, unlike the secretaries. At the school I go to now, we go outside in the snow unless we have Study Hall. Speaking of Study Hall, I believe that W.R. James should have Study Hall so that students aren’t panicking about getting work done in a short period of time. The building itself is a death trap pretty much. Even after a whole year of “repairs,” the walls were still cracked, the roofs were still leaking, and it was very, VERY filthy. This school is awful and should be either shut down or inspected.
I used to go to this school back in 2005.Some teachers were helpful, some werent . Some kids were immature and had bullying other kids. By the judge of the comments, it seems like the school never changed, which is quite disappointing.
They have some teachers that have hearts of gold! Than they have some that need to find another line of work! But I hope no more teachers put their hands on another student like what happened to my child!
