Yukon High School needs to learn how to support their arts. They rely on their athletics while the band boosters run their concessions. $17 million dollars on a football field for the football team and an incorrectly marked blacktop for the band. The drama room only a very small area for their blackbox, and the choir room doesn’t have enough practice rooms. I just wish that YHS could give the arts more credit than they do.
I’m not sure what the previous reviewer was thinking, but I guess everyone is entitled to their opinion! We’ve had nothing but great experiences with YHS! Sure the facilities are amazing, but it’s the faculty, Administration and (most importantly) student body that is most impressive! After 2 years here, my daughter continues to thrive with academic and athletic challenges daily. We don’t regret moving her to YHS one bit!
