I’ve been taking my son here for a few months now. I took him to his first day as a trial, it was free, to see how we like it, how the kid likes it.

After the first day I asked my son if he wanted to keep coming there and he said yes. Since then we’ve been going at minimum 3-4 days a week. Since being at YTT, my son has improved IMMENSELY in a very short amount of time. The classes are big and there is usually only 1 instructor, or 2, but they do a great job managing the class and getting the kids attention.

They also don’t coddle them, which I like. That’s what us parents are there for. They use the terms they would with adults, which I also like. I feel like in the future that will help the kids as adults.

I think a couple of the negative reviews were from parents who didn’t stay long enough to see how the program works and how much the kids actually advance. I was unsure of it myself at first, which is why I waited to write a review until I’ve been there a few months.

The coaches are fair. They make sure the kids get corrected. They don’t always get around to all the kids but they do make time to correct them as a whole.

They have ample time for practice and the coaches take time out between classes if the kids ask to help them with strikes or kicks. Which I think is awesome.

I’ll continue bringing my son to YTT. He loves it, he’s staying active, he’s learning how to defend himself and most importantly he’s always having fun there.

They’ve got plenty of great equipment and nice staff. But where they offer a little bit of many disciplines (Muay Thai, Boxing, Karate, Wrestling, Jiu Jitsu, MMA), I found they lack quality training. Perhaps it’s that there are too many students and so few coaches that so many students are still uneducated on the basics and discipline. I gave it a few months and it became clear that Yuma Top Team had bitten off more than they could chew.
That being said, they host several events and are very flashy. So if you’re trying to get more involved in competing, this would be a place to stay in touch with.
